Soccer Academy

The Soccer Academy is a program that provides students who have an interest in soccer, the opportunity to apply their skills and passion for the game whilst being assessed under the requirements of the Australian Curriculum and Football Federation Australia Curriculum.

The program is designed to develop knowledgeable and competent players who are able to demonstrate efficiency in the technical fundamentals of the game. The program offers both boys and girls the chance to pursue a comprehensive study of soccer by imparting a high level of expertise in theoretical knowledge, technique and skills, fitness and game awareness.

As a part of the program, students are able to pursue a pathway to becoming a player, coach, referee or sports administrator. During school hours, students have 4 lessons each week (2 single lessons and 1 double lesson) dedicated to the program and also train as a group outside of school hours.

Students will have the opportunity to represent the school and compete in a variety of tournaments across the state and throughout Australia. Since its inception, many student athletes have been invited to trial for state teams and have been able to represent the state in national and international soccer competitions.
